artist statement:
In a world filled with chaos, art brings me a sense of equilibrium and serenity. It allows me to connect with my inner self and uncover deeper meanings in life. The transformative power of art draws us nearer to the beauty that surrounds us.
Having been born in Romania and now residing in Spain, the beauty of my surroundings is what drives my artistic vision. Although my landscape art may appear serene at first glance, a closer look will reveal the melancholy of my homeland subtly woven throughout.
My true passion lies in portraiture, where my goal is to convey more than just a physical likeness. I strive to capture the very soul of my subjects and the profound relationship between humanity and the natural world. Through my art, I invite viewers to delve into these narratives, to gaze into the eyes of my subjects, and to recognize the inherent beauty that can be found amidst life’s struggles. Each pair of eyes in my portraits holds a unique story waiting to be told.
As an artist, my foremost objective is to stimulate my audience’s senses and encourage them to explore the intricacies of the world we inhabit. I firmly believe that art has the remarkable capability to unveil the enigmatic beauty of humanity, and my aspiration is for my creations to serve as a gateway to this revelation.
I possess a keen interest in both oil and acrylic mediums, while maintaining a curious and explorative spirit towards various techniques, colors, forms, and surfaces. Continuously experimenting, I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of my artistic expression.
My ultimate aspiration is for my artwork to serve as a testament to the profound connection between art and the human experience, acting as a bridge between inner turmoil and external serenity. My art is not only a reflection of my soul but also provides a mirror through which viewers can glimpse their own.
